I’m no longer able to answer enquiries seeking advice or information other than through my new forum. There is no obligation on my part to answer any posting but I will check them and reply if I’ve time and it’s appropriate.  But even if I can’t reply to your question perhaps someone else will.    To visit the Forum click here.

Of course, if you are within my usual working area i.e. 15 mile radius of Chippenham Wiltshire your enquiry will be given priority and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Will you advise so I can fix it myself?

Unless you meet me in person in which case advice is free, please do not phone or e-mail me, and please understand that time spent advising does mean that I’m not earning.

How soon can you get here?

Every effort is made to attend as soon as possible but how soon depends on the current workload and exactly what I’m doing at the time of your call.  Priority is always given to existing regular customers.

My mobile phone is always switched on during the working week but due to various factors i.e.; poor signal, driving, etc. you may not get through so please try later.

Can you recommend someone else?

I do not work in conjunction with any other plumbers and do not recommend any, other than to say that most local plumbers are honest hard working tradesmen.

While I am happy for you to supply materials, especially bathroom suites, showers etc. it is unlikely that you will want to become involved in supplying boilers, pipe and fittings etc. so this is probably best left to me.

I left a message but you’ve not gotten back to me?

I try to return calls on the same day, except weekends, usually in the evening but due to family and work commitments this is not always possible.  If your call is of an urgent nature please state so and every effort will be made to contact you.

I would like to accept your quote but is there any chance of a reduction?

No. Sorry, quotations are as competitive as I can make them.

I try to send out quotations the week following my visit but again due to family and work commitments and sometimes the research required this is not always possible. Please ask if you wish to know how it is progressing.

Either, but please note there is no reduction for cash.  You will still have to pay the VAT.

Can I have a receipt?

Yes of course, but please ask.
